About this Episode

Today we’re joined by my good friend Lewis Howes.

Lewis is the host of the School of Greatness podcast which is one of the largest in the world with over 1 million downloads per month.

I’ve known Lewis for three or four years now, and in fact, he was instrumental in helping me start this podcast.

When I needed help getting my head around this endeavor, he was the one I called to talk about the vision, equipment, and processes needed to put together a fantastic show.

Over the past few years he’s built up an amazing personal brand and he’s on a path to become the next Oprah of our generation.

Today he joins me here at my home in Austin Texas to talk about an extremely vulnerable transition he’s had to make in his life over the past few years, as he’s fought to overcome the demons of his past, and become the best man that he can be.

Today’s show is all about the masks that each of us wear as we face the world… The mask of materialism, of the funny joker, of the risk-taker, and the stoic. While theses mask can serve a purpose, they ultimately hold us back from achieving our full potential in life and in our relationships.

Well today it’s time to identify which mask you’re wearing, and to take it off.

This is an extremely personal interview for both of us, and one of the best we’ve ever had here at Self Made Man.
