Man it feels great to be home in Austin… Over the past 21 days, I’ve flown over 20,000 miles. To put that in perspective, I was just 4,000 miles short of circling the globe!
First it was down to Argentina to visit with financial legend, Doug Casey, and to check out the amazing community he’s been developing for the past seven years called La Estancia, which is nestled just outside the sleepy little tourist town of Cafayate.
This area is quickly becoming the Napa Valley of Argentina, and the views were incredible…
After Argentina, it was back to Austin, and then off to London a few days later to speak at my friend Shaqir’s event.
Believe it or not, this was only the fourth time I’ve agreed to speak at an event in the past 10 years, and all four events had one thing in common…
They were held by previous students of mine who did what it takes to become extremely successful.
As for Shaqir, he’s 26 years old, and got his start about four years ago when he read a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring. (The Hardcover edition is now available on Amazon here).
This book gave him the insights and guidance he needed to start his career as an entrepreneur. Today, his business produces $200,000 to $300,000 per month in revenue.
So when he asked me if I’d be willing to speak at his event, the answer was yes. It’s my way of giving back and recognizing those who’ve put in the work and made it happen.
As we get closer and closer to the start of a new year, I spent a considerable amount of that time in the air thinking about my future and setting goals for 2015.
As many of you know, I left The Elevation Group a few months ago to pursue a project that has the potential to change the way the world feeds itself.
The end result will be a system that can provide your family with healthy organic produce at a 90% discount to what you’d buy at the store, while using 95% less water than traditional farming.
It’s a significant under-taking and commitment, as the prototype is going to cost around $5 Million, and take a year to develop.
Unfortunately I can’t say any more than that right now, but will keep you posted as we get closer to launch.
In the mean time, I’m planning to step-up my commitment as a teacher to up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
In a few weeks, I’ll be re-opening my “Live Free & Prosper” mentoring program to new students for 2015, under the name “Mike Dillard Mentoring”.
The goal of this mentoring program is simple… To teach my students everything I know about building a successful, profitable business, at a price anyone can afford.
And finally, I’ll be launching the “Self Made Man” podcast within the next 45 days.
It recently occurred to me that if you want to change the world, you must change the values held dear by the men who inhabit it.
It’s become painfully clear that most young men in this country are growing up without role models in their lives who can teach them values that lead to long-term success in life.
So I’ve decided to do what I can to change that.
The SelfMadeMan podcast is designed to provide mentors on a weekly basis to the men in this world who want to achieve greatness. Who want to leave their mark on the world, and create a legacy of honor, integrity, and achievement in every aspect of their lives, from business, to relationships, health, and finance.
I’m in the process of recording the first set of interviews now, and will let you know when the site is up.
At the end of the day, it’s going to be an incredibly exciting, rewarding, and challenging year.
So many people come up with excuses like, “I don’t know how to do that…” which stops them from pursing their goals. Please don’t be one of them.
I have zero experience when it comes to starting a podcast, yet I’m doing it.
I’m on YouTube watching tutorial videos and subscribing to courses just like everyone else. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ve already recorded the first three episodes. My goal is to have over 1 Million downloads by the end of 2015.
I have zero experience in the hydroponics industry, and yet I’m creating a product that will change the world.
If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past 10 years as an entrepreneur, it’s this…
Any kind of action will always provide a better result than no action.
What are your goals for 2015? What are you going to do to ensure you accomplish them?
