Well, this is it… This is the story that I’ve been waiting to tell you for over a year.

If you’ve been a part of my audience for any time at all, you are probably aware that I suffered a mysterious brain injury in June of 2018 that almost killed me.

I haven’t really shared anything more than that over the past 12 months for two reasons…

First, we had no idea what happened, and I didn’t want to talk about it until we did because that’s really just not very helpful to anyone.

And second, I wanted to wait until there was some kind of happy ending to this situation so that I could bring it around full circle and share what I learned from it.

Well, thankfully I’m happy to say that we did figure out what took place about 3 months ago, and I have been getting better ever since. While I’m still not sleeping normally just yet, my brain is back online. I can think, I can speak, and my energy levels have started to return.

And I’ll just say this… The culprit was shocking. This whole mess was caused by toxic mold.

If you have any friends or family members with a chronic or undiagnosed illness, they could definitely be suffering from the same thing, so please share this with them so they can get tested asap.

Now during the past year, I’ve always said that when I’m ready to tell this story, I wanted to do it around a table with the people who helped me through it, which is exactly what we did.

So today I’m joined by my friend Aubrey Marcus who hosted this interview, along with Krisstina Wise, and my physician, Dr. Ann Shippy. We held this group discussion at Aubrey’s office.

While this situation has been the single biggest challenge of my life, it has also been the most rewarding because of the personal work and transformation that it forced me to do, including all kinds of psychedelic medicine which we’ll be talking about today.

This is one hell of a story, and this is definitely the most personal interview I’ve ever given, so thank you for your support during this past year, and I’m incredibly grateful that I’m back to work so I can help you guys and serve you in any way that I can.

Without further ado, let’s dive in…

On June 12th, 2018 I was on top of the world and living the dream.

24 hours later on the 13th, I felt a little “click” in my brain while playing a game of PUBG. That was the last time I could naturally fall asleep for over a year.

After 6 days and nights without a single minute of sleep, my body started to shut down.

Doctor after doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

My brain started to deteriorate. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t think, and the medications I was given made me suicidal.

I had to walk away from my business, my friends, and everything I used to do in life as I could barely function or leave my house for almost a year.

I tried anything and everything I could to figure out what happened, and to heal myself, including…

MDMA
Neurofeedback therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy
Hypnotherapy
Float-tank therapy
EMDR therapy
Somatic Trauma Release
Meditation
Ketamine IV
Huachuma
NLP

And over 50 different blood and DNA tests…

10 months later, we finally figured out what caused it… Toxic mold that had gotten through my intestinal and blood-brain barriers.

Mold’s job in nature is to eat, break down, and recycle organic substances as is often seen in food like this orange…

Well in my case, the mold had gotten into my brain and was chowing down on my brain’s myelin.

This put my brain and body into a constant state of fight-or-flight, making it impossible to fall asleep, and dumping massive amounts of cortisol and adrenaline into my system 24/7.

This went on for almost a year before it was discovered by Dr. Shippy.

To get yourself tested for mold, you can take an inexpensive “Mycotox Profile” test through Great Plains Laboratories.

We were absolutely shocked when we got back my results…

As you can see below, two different types of toxic mold had started to take over my system…

Aspergillus which is measured on a scale from 0 to 20. A score of 0-4 is safe. Mine was 29.

But as you can see above, the real whopper was Penicillum. A test score of 0-5 is safe. Anything between 6 and 50 is dangerous.

And my result on a scale of 0 – 50?

20,936.

Yep, nearly 21,000!

We couldn’t believe it, and even had to call the lab to make sure the results were accurate.

They were.

My brain was literally being eaten alive by mold.

Thankfully Dr. Shippy put me on a massive supplement regimen to heal my gut and brain barrier, and kill off the mold.

If you or someone you know has a medical challenge with strange or undiagnosed symptoms, get checked for toxic mold.

And here’s a great book that will bring you up to speed on everything you need to know about this microscopic beast…
